Job Title: Estimator
Reports To: Director Business Development
FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt
Position Summary
Responsible for acknowledging Request for Quote (RFQ), creating quotes in ERP system, coordinating materials and processing estimates with Purchasing, preparing quotes for approval to all levels of leadership, and submitting proposals to customer in a metallics aerospace environment.
Experience and Attributes
Solid working knowledge of quoting policies and procedures including BOM creation and estimating cost.
Effective written & oral communication skills with established interpersonal skills
Proficient experience of the appropriate range of Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
Strong time management skills and be deadline oriented
Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities
Experience in analyzing data and providing recommendations
Advanced comprehension and problem solving skills.
Ability to read drawings and interpret processing codes and clauses.
Experience using ERP software, specifically JobBoss or E2 preferred.
Prior manufacturing experience, Defense Aerospace preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with three years related work experience in the areas of BOM creation, estimating preferred.
Prefer Estimating experience in a metallics aerospace and defense environment. Knowledge of machining, assembly and close tolerances preferred.
