Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Clinician

ABOUT US
The Hope Center, Inc. is a well-respected and leading recovery organization in Lexington, Kentucky-the second largest city-that cares for the homeless and at-risk persons by providing life-sustaining and life-rebuilding services that are comprehensive and address underlying addiction causes.

PURPOSE
The IOP Clinician is responsible for the evaluation, engagement, and treatment of clients presenting for services at Hope Center IOP. This position is responsible for the timely assessment and engagement of clients, leading IOP groups, conducting individual sessions, and creating treatment plans. This position is expected to work cooperatively with clients, staff, referral sources, and community partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Completes screenings, assessments, treatments, and formulates diagnosis plans to guide treatment interventions.

· Cooperatively works with clients to determine appropriate interventions and goals; cooperatively develops treatment plans.

· Engages in crisis management, safety planning, and referral as situations arise.

· Provides education and support to clients focusing on substance abuse issues, individual and group counseling/therapy.

· Assists clients in developing aftercare and relapse prevention plans.

· Utilizes empirically supported treatments, interventions, and skills in individual and group settings.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with master’s degree in a behavioral health field.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Must possess one of the following:

 (CSW) Social worker certified and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.080 (FREE Supervision for LCSW)

·(LPCA) Professional clinical counselor associate (FREE Supervision for LPCC)

 Marriage and family therapist licensed and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.300;

· Professional clinical counselor licensed and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.500.

· Certified psychologist with autonomous functioning or a licensed psychological practitioner practicing in accordance with KRS 319.056;

· Person currently authorized to use the title of certified psychologist in accordance with KRS 319.056(3);

· Psychological associate practicing in accordance with KRS 319.064;

· Clinical social worker licensed and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.100;

· Marriage and family therapist licensed and practicing in accordance with KRS 335.300;

HOURS
This is a full-time, exempt position, requiring 40 hours of work per week. Position is regularly scheduled for Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
