Senior Engineering Manager - 1963

A well-established designing company is seeking a Senior Engineer for tailor-made fittings for prestigious stores and exceptional private spaces.

Fast-growing manufacturing firm based in Medley FL working with leading luxury brands. Our client is looking for a highly motivated individual with design and engineering experience, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Senior Engineer plays a key role in each project and contributes greatly to the overall success. The Engineer will provide detailed drawings for customer approval, fabrication and installation.

As an integral part of each project you are assigned to, you will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare thorough floor plans, elevations, sections and details of store fixtures and store layouts for customer approval and fabrication
• Coordinate the fabrication of complicated fixtures using various materials and finishes (wood, metal, acrylic, etc.)
• Identify and/or develop technical solutions to solve design and engineering challenges
• Verify and approve all store fixtures made by our workshop, reviewing construction, assembly and finishes as per specifications
• Work with an experienced team of professionals to coordinate drawings and provide quality design work to customer's specifications
• Support project managers and the sales department with submittals
• Interpret architectural specifications and drawings
• Follow drafting schedule and adapt to changes promptly
• Ensure project scope is being met in line with the estimated price
• Effectively communicate product or schedule concerns with project managers

Requirements

• Technical Diploma or Engineering degree
• 7+ years experience using SolidWorks and to produce detail shop drawings or architectural drawings of store fixtures, custom furniture or floor plans
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail is critical as well as the ability to follow directions
• Experience with luxury retail and/or workshop environment a plus
• Previous managerial experience a plus
