Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Mechanic/Installer to lead and coordinate mechanical construction projects for our federal government clients. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in OSHA regulations, federal contracting procedures, and comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation. As a HVAC Mechanical Lead Installer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise and install mechanical construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to plan and execute mechanical installations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation equipment.
- Manage material procurement, inventory, and equipment utilization to optimize project efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and budget forecasts.
· Supervise, direct, and install for federal construction projects, including direct liaison with owner and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the job.
· Assists with the development and implementation of detailed schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mind.
· Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports, and logs.
· Lead weekly coordination and safety meetings with Subcontractors and issue minutes to the Project Manager.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, with a focus on HVAC systems and controls.
- Familiarity with government regulations and compliance requirements or willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
