Marketing Assistant

GMB is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Marketing Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all marketing, business development, and public relations tasks under the guidance of our Marketing Manager.

Duties

• Designs marketing materials to consistently and effectively communicate GMB’s capabilities and business development plan
• Creates tailored promotional and qualifications packages
• Assists in the preparation of proposals, including responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs) from clients
• Designs and coordinates advertising and sponsorships to maximize GMB’s exposure
• Develops and updates content on website and social media channels
• Drafts and coordinates press releases to generate media coverage
• Plans and attends promotional events (including trade shows, conferences, open houses, project events, awards ceremonies, internal events)
• Researches and coordinates the purchase of promotional products and logo apparel
• Supports other marketing tasks, including photographing select projects, preparing award submittals, and researching leads
• Applies creativity in marketing the GMB brand and the firm
• Assists Marketing Manager and Marketing Director in establishing goals, objectives, and strategies, for developing new business and updating GMB’s business development plan

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Graphic Design and 0-3 years of experience. Must possess an understanding of basic marketing & business concepts, as well as familiarity with graphic design principles. Should demonstrate excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Position also requires proficiency in MS Office software.

Physical requirements include the ability to work in front of a computer for periods of time and lift/transport marketing materials.

Position is based in Salisbury, MD, and will require some driving between office locations, as well as periodic travel to promotional events.
