Concrete Flatwork Finisher $21 - $25 / hour.

As a Concrete Flatwork Finisher with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support contractors through out Fort Myers, FL and surrounding areas. In this full time role, you'll earn $21-$25 an hour, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule.

Note: The pay rate for this job is $21 - $25 / hour.

Responsibilities:

• Precision setting of formwork for pours
• Thorough compacting of base material
• Precise fine grading of base material
• Detailed fabrication and installation of reinforcing steel
• Proper placement of concrete inside of formwork.
• Screeding/striking-off of placed concrete
• High-quality floating and handwork that is flat and smooth, and free of any blemishes or trowel marks.
• High attention to detail when hand finishing around drains, penetrations through slab, at edges, and around forms.
• Precision layout, proper spacing, and installation of hand-tooled, or saw-cut control joints.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience a MUST
• MUST have tools for the trade including finishing tools
• MUST be able to pull straight-edge ?
• Hand and Power trowel experience
• Edge and broom Working conditions
• May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.
• May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings and during weekends, and may also do shift work and be on call.
• Generally work longer hours in summer.
• Work in most weather conditions and in conditions that may be noisy, wet, cold, dirty and dusty.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; talk or hear; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
