Family Law Paralegal

As a rapidly expanding multi-specialty law firm, we are in need of an energetic, reliable and dedicated paralegal to join our growing team. The paralegal will support attorneys with case preparation, file organization and maintaining an accurate database of past and current motions.

Our mid-sized Manhattan law firm specializes in criminal defense, family law and immigration cases. The paralegal will be working in our family law division.

The ideal candidate has three years of family law experience, is comfortable working with a high-volume case load, and has experience drafting motions.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing legal documents including affidavits, briefs, and motions
• Communicating with clients, completing various forms and providing clients with case status updates
• Assisting the Family Law department with matters as needed
• Showcasing excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Working independently, prioritizing, and multitasking as necessary
• Deescalating stressful situations and providing an excellent client experience
• Familiarizing yourself with various apps and software to better serve our clients

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal
• Bilingual preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the USA
