About the Role

The Vice President of Finance of Figure Technology Solutions will be responsible for driving the financial strategy of the business. The VP of Finance will work cross functionally with key leaders in the company on budgeting, planning and strategic finance while also directly supervising the fundraising, liquidity, financial modeling and financial reporting. This person will drive the financial infrastructure, systems, and reporting that will bring Figure to its eventual IPO. This is a key leadership position, requiring a strong finance professional with a deep understanding of technology as well as balance sheet financial services. Join us!

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with company goals and objectives, leveraging your expertise to adapt quickly to the evolving needs of a scrappy startup environment.
  • Oversee financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling, with an emphasis on agility and rapid decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies to optimize financial resources, making swift and well-informed decisions to support the company's growth trajectory.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, instilling a sense of urgency and adaptability while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Help drive profitability and financial performance against our long term strategy and goals in preparation for an IPO
  • Oversee a team that embeds across the organization, bringing analysis, financial discipline and rigor to strategic decision making inside and outside of the finance organization
  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting while also providing key insights and analysis to make recommendations for improvement, leveraging real-time data and feedback loops to drive continuous optimization.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in senior finance roles within financial services, with a focus on the FinTech Industry
  • Experience at public filers, and ideally experience at a company during its IPO process, with a comprehensive understanding of the IPO process and the ability to lead the company through this significant milestone.
  • The ability to address challenging issues while remaining objective and independent, with a track record of successfully navigating complexities
  • Strong understanding of budget management and planning, financial operations, regulated financial services, and accounting principles.
  • Ability to understand the financial investor perspective and mindset
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to articulate verbally and in writing, plans, processes, policies and issues to stakeholders.
  • Strong entrepreneurialism, work ethic and hands-on approach.
  • Ability to address challenging issues while remaining objective and independent.
  • Ability to handle several projects at once while staying organized, detail oriented and diligent.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

For CO, NY, CA and WA residents, the salary range for this position is $275,000 to $325,000/year with a 25% Bonus Target and Equity. Actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience and location.
