Salesforce Practice Lead

Job Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid: 3-days in office, 2-days remote)
Successful candidate will be responsible for leading the enterprise Salesforce platform solutions as part of an organization-wide digital modernization initiative to transform a wide-range of IT systems. In this role, you will be tasked with leading teams and interacting with government customers, including Product Owners, Project Managers, and various project stakeholders. To ensure success as the Salesforce Practice Lead, you should be knowledgeable about the various Salesforce solutions and be skilled at leveraging the talents of your development teams.
An understanding of DoD and government security standards and policies are needed to ensure all deployed changes are highly secure and available.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience with management and implementation of large-scale enterprise technology solutions, including CRM solutions.
- 5+ years of experience working with salesforce platform and solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects at once.
- Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology.
- Experience with Government Contracting is highly preferred.
- Experience with governance, strategic planning, and salesforce technical architectures.
Typical Duties/Abilities:
- Managing team leads, teams of developers and consultants in delivering Salesforce projects.
- Analyzing briefs and project requests from clients.
- Assessing risks, opportunities, deliverables, and threats for projects.
- Developing goals, tasks, and plans of development for Salesforce projects.
- Liaising with clients and management about timelines, costs, and project objectives.
- Developing metrics for each project to determine paths to success.
- Conducting regular project meetings with your development teams.
- Ensuring that your teams produce work that adheres to Salesforce's best-design principles and government's governance, guidelines, and procedures.
- Guiding and mentoring your team to achieve project outcomes.
- Develop and present comprehensive briefings for senior leadership, Project Management Offices (PMOs), application teams, and platform teams to support the enterprises' IT initiatives.
- Developing collateral for past performance, and proposal materials for new opportunities.
Soft Skills
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.
- Ability to articulate architecture, design, and configuration choices and bring about consensus.
Education/Certifications:
- BS degree in Information Technology or another related technical discipline.
