POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate candidate with strong technical accounting and analytical skills to join our team as a Senior Manager, Accounting. This candidate will manage the Company's reporting process, independently research and analyze accounting issues and disclosure requirements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, assist with implementation of new software and support other accounting initiatives as they occur. This position will help to develop and mentor junior team members with a potential opportunity to supervise others as the company grows.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage the monthly close process, including the preparation of supporting schedules and related analysis to ensure the accurate compilation and reporting of financial data in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Prepare cash flows, stockholder's roll forward, EPS calculation, stock-based compensation analysis and other non-routine transactions that would support the possibility of a public filing, which would include Forms S-1, 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and proxy filings.
  • Partner with internal project managers and external service providers to determine appropriate accruals and expense recognition for R&D and Clinical projects
  • Support annual financial statement audits, quarterly reviews, and other audits as required
  • Perform internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects to represent our department's needs/requirements
  • Take ownership of process improvements. Document business processes and assess current processes for efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
  • Additional assignments or projects as needed

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting required with a minimum of 8 years' experience with minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX processes/practices
  • Advanced Excel and Office 365 skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Accounting or MBA in Accounting is a plus
  • CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred · Biotech, healthcare, or pharma experience
  • Experience in a start-up environment
  • Experience in ASC606 Revenue Recognition and cost accounting related to inventory management and COGS
  • Experience supervising others is desired
  • Big 4 public accounting experience
  • Experience using SAP 4/HANA and other accounting productivity software desired
  • Customer focus with a strong ability to establish and maintain a cross-functional network
  • You possess the ability to remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

Physical Requirements:

  • Position is based in either Seattle, WA or Louisville, CO
  • Ability to work onsite a minimum of 2 days per week
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

Salary Range: $148,000 - $179,000
