Job Description

The UX Designer will be creating a new User Interface in a Responsive Web Environment for a record management system, using Angular, JavaScript, .NET, and other UI development tools. The application is used in a large Federal agency to create, update, and search records.

* Candidate must upload a copy of portfolio/examples of work as part of the application process.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance as required by contract.
This position is currently remote but may change due to contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

The UX Designer must be able to create a compelling, user-friendly workflow that leads the users through defined process steps.
The UX Designer will collaborate with the rest of the development team to ensure data is validated and presented correctly through APIs and database calls as required.
The UX Designer will be able to provide expertise on Responsive Web Design, using User Experience (UX concepts and principles) in government applications, Section 508 compliance, and other UI/UX experience generally.
Work with entire development team to validate requirements, design interfaces, data and work flows through the application lifecycle.
Create responsive workflows, user screens, data validations, and improve the overall user experience from the previous application.
Use standard code management tools including Git, as well as Agile software development processes.
Work with requirements analyst and UX designer to create screen mockups or wireframes; translate wireframes to code artifacts.
Experience with design tools such as Adobe XD and Lucid.

Education and Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience is required
BS, Computer Science or related discipline
