Courier/Driver - Providence, Rhode Island

We are in need of a Courier in Providence, Rhode Island.

You must have reliable transportation.

A $100.00 signing bonus is available for candidates who apply before May 1, 2024, and successfully passes the background check. The signing bonus is provided after the second week is worked.

The position description is provided below:

1. The Courier shall provide their own vehicle/transportation.
2. The Courier shall provide pickup and delivery services of mail and small packages between various offices and buildings (several stops are located in the same building and are on the same street) as follows:

• Picking up mail and packages etc. at various offices on a daily basis (Monday to Friday) unless specified by the Department.
• There are 33 pickup and delivery stops on Mondays and Wednesdays.
• There are 32 pickup and delivery stops on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• There are 50-100 pickup and delivery stops on Fridays.
• The number of pickups and deliveries is subject to change as are the locations themselves.

Three (3) couriers will be hired, one (1) for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, (1) for Tuesdays and Thursdays, and (1) to serve as a backup.

3. Courier services shall be performed during normal operating hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM ET.  All stops are fairly close to one another.

Courier Requirements

The Courier shall:

• Wear a Dantli Corp provided vest/jacket with the Dantli Corp name or logo clearly visible.
• Be Capable of lifting items weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license.
• Pass a criminal/background investigation.
• Comply with all security measures including X-Ray and metal detector screening when entering secure buildings.
• Possess a functional cellphone at all times during service hours to ensure the court can reach the Courier promptly, if needed.

The courier/driver will be required to complete and sign a daily log at each pickup/delivery location to verify that pickup/delivery was made.

This is great supplemental work.

Compensation:

Pay: $5.00/pickup and delivery stops, plus bonuses. Compensation is provided weekly.

Compensation Notes:

The Courier that works on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays will make approximately:

Monday & Wednesdays:

$4.70 x 33 pickup and delivery stops = $155.10/day 

Fridays:  

$4.70 x 50-100 pickup and delivery stops = $235.00 - $470.00/day

The Courier that works on Tuesdays & Thursdays will make approximately:

Tuesdays & Thursdays:

$4.70 x 32 pickup and delivery stops = $150.40/day
