Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Saint Paul, MN

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of healthcare professionals to provide clinical and administrative support in a medical setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
2. Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
3. Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms for patient visits.
4. Perform basic laboratory tests, such as phlebotomy and specimen collection.
5. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
6. Assist with patient education and counseling on healthcare issues and treatments.
7. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
8. Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, filing medical records, and processing insurance claims.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience.
3. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
4. Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
5. Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Compassionate attitude and commitment to patient care.
