Licensed Clinical Social Worker

1.0 QUALIFICATIONS

o U.S. Citizenship: Workers performing under this contract must be US Citizens

o Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Work Education (CSWE)

o Experience: Have a minimum of three (3) years within the past five (5) years as a social worker performing psychological assessments and care.

o Certifications: BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association

o Security Clearance: Must have a clear background in order to obtain security clearance

o Familiar with organization structure and operation methods of Air Force

o Possess excellent written and oral communications skills. Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communication

o Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, disease process and procedures

2.0 DUTIES

Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services.

Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team.

Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds.

Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.

Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.

Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification.

Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.

Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the MTF.

3.0 WORK HOURS

07:30 – 04:30, Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays, Family Days, and Down Days

On Call Hours: Should respond within 30 minutes of receiving the phone call. On-call requirement is rotated among all mental health clinic providers. This position will provide on call coverage as scheduled and may be required to work extended hours due to clinical necessity in urgent situations. This on-call requirement is rotated among all mental health clinic providers. If worker does not work on a holiday but has, call on contract and may pull call on a holiday weekend leave (position can be on call during a holiday.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83,200.00 - $87,360.00 per year
