Community Growth Partners is a woman owned cannabis business, with two store front locations in Great Barrington and Boston MA. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the operation of our cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility located in Northampton MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, people leadership and development, strategic planning and process optimization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure efficient and compliant operations across cultivation and manufacturing.
- Lead a team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee all aspects of cultivation, including planting, harvesting, processing, and packaging of cannabis products.
- Manage manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, consistency, and adherence to production schedules.
- Oversee and ensure inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods are maintained at proper levels.
- Manage facility COGS to budgeted levels including staffing costs, ingredients, utilities, product yields, and packaging for both the cultivation and processing areas.
- Interact with sales personnel to ensure quality and trending product mix of finished good inventory items is properly maintained.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance with state regulations and industry best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels, production yields, and cost efficiencies to optimize operations and maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with state laws, licensing requirements, and quality control standards. Ensure business is 100% compliant with CCC, METRC and ERP policies.
- Evaluate equipment, technology, and infrastructure needs, recommending upgrades or improvements as necessary.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, enforcing safety protocols and promoting a culture of accountability.
SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or other related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the cannabis industry or a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MA state regulations governing cannabis cultivation, processing, and distribution.
- Proven track record of implementing SOPs, managing compliance programs, and achieving operational excellence.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve performance goals.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data- driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Google work environment and experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
