Drywall Project Manager / Estimator

Vasquez Drywall Systems, Inc has been a leading Drywall subcontracting firm in the DC Metro region for over 20 years. We have expanded operations to the southeast ,we are seeking a qualified, motivated individual for our PM / estimator role to join our Raleigh office. 

Expectations of the role of the position are to prepare detailed estimates on commercial projects ranging from Tenant fit outs, ground up construction, interior renovations, healthcare, law, and hospitality. Scopes managed include metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings.

Responsibilities:

Be the lead on projects with the project team to include : foremen, GC site superintendents, GC Project Managers, and central office

• Select project opportunities and complete takeoffs and estimates.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications to prepare written proposals for bids and proposals.
• Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for various projects.
• Responsible for understanding all factors required for a comprehensive trade package scope including contract documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methods
• Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades as required; coordinate with project team to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps
• Attend pre-construction job walks

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Commercial Construction experience
• Experience in Retail, Healthcare, Office, and Governmental, projects is a plus
• Proficient in use of MS Word, Outlook, Procore
• Proficient understanding of Commercial Construction methods, particularly metal framing and drywall
• Proficient understanding of construction drawings and documents
• Ability to build lasting relationships with clients
• Experience with estimating software such as Planswift & Quickbid
• Excellent communication skills
