Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 Salary

Position Overview:


As the Head of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our brand and sales opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships, particularly with IT and technology companies across the United States that cater to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Your primary objective will be to establish and nurture partnerships that create distribution channels for our products/services, thereby enhancing our market reach and driving revenue growth.

Currently, we are developing a next generation payment platform and neobanking service. You are an experienced leader who loves networking and facilitating synergistic partnerships among companies. You understand how to negotiate and identify strengths and weaknesses across industries. You are articulate and strategic in your approach to sales and have a solid understanding of the payment industry. You don't mind extensive travel and enjoy leveraging your skillset to build long-lasting business relationships.

 


Key Responsibilities:


Partnership Identification and Development:


  • Identify potential partners within the IT and technology sector that have a strong presence among SMBs.
  • Initiate contact and build relationships with key decision-makers at target partner companies.
  • Develop customized partnership proposals and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.


Strategic Planning and Execution:


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Drive the execution of partnership initiatives from inception to implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine partnership strategies based on market trends and performance metrics.


Relationship Management:


  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Facilitate regular communication and collaboration between our company and partner teams to maximize the success of joint initiatives.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by partners in a timely and effective manner.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Track and analyze the performance of partnership activities, including sales metrics, market penetration, and ROI.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to update senior management on the progress of business development initiatives.
  • Identify areas for optimization and implement corrective actions as necessary.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, partnership management, or sales, preferably within the IT or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of SMB market dynamics and trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
