Project Superintendent

We are seeking a Project Superintendent to join our team! You will oversee project implementation, effectively work crews, organize work flows, and schedule subcontractor activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities
• Make certain that all work adheres to plans and specifications
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Maintain construction schedules
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, etc.
• See that all safety regulations are followed and conduct regular safety meetings
• Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
• Maintain inventory control over tools, equipment and materials
• Maintain an organized jobsite, including the construction office
• Insure that all changes are properly executed and documented on as-built plans
• Analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and costs

Qualifications:

• 4-yr college degree preferred but not required. Desirable study concentration in construction management
• 5 years of field experience in multi-family construction
• 3 years of successful Project Superintendent experience with a multi-family builder
• Experience in scheduling, ordering materials, field supervision, quality control and production of all phases of multi-family construction
• Familiarity with construction management software
• Strong leadership qualities
• Must be self starting, highly motivated and goal oriented
• Must have excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Professional and technically competent
