Warehouse Associate/Relief Driver

As a Warehouse Associate/ Relief Driver with AD Chemco, a subsidiary of Automated Dairy, professional customer service and strong attention to detail and direction are critical for success. Using a semi, the Relief Driver covers vacations and days off by delivering large containers of chemicals to dairies locally. It is a very physically demanding job with weekends off, and being home every night, it could be a perfect fit.

Warehouse Associate Accountabilities:

· Receive and load freight according to company Standard Operating Procedures. (SOP’s)

· Operate forklifts to move and store materials safely. (Forklift training will be provided)

· Maintain dock area for cleanliness and organization.

· Assist in maintaining a clean and coordinated warehouse environment.

Driver Accountabilities:

• Drive within DOT regulated hours to deliver chemicals to customers.
• Deliver all products to the customers based on paperwork requirements.
• Make sure the load is secure according to DOT regulations.
• Refuel and clean vehicle.
• Report road incidents to management.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Inspect trucks and record and report mechanical problems to maintenance.
• Follow company and DOT regulated accident procedures.
• Keep activities log and log hours.
• Keep Class A commercial driver license, hazmat certification, and medical card up to date.
• Make sure proper placards are in use according to DOT regulations.
• Check for all proper BOL/Shipping and DOT required paperwork.
• Report issues to dispatch and account manager.
• Perform warehouse work such as order fulfillment, load and unload trucks, warehouse products safely, and correctly follow all procedures.
• This position may require learning to batch teat dips and filling drums.
• Any other functions as required by and or directed by management.
• Maintain a positive attitude.

Qualifications: *

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Requires Class A CDL with Hazmat, (can help acquire Hazmat)
• Clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift 100+ lbs. repeatedly.
• Ability to work with a hand truck and to roll and maneuver 55 gallons (500lb) barrels.
• Must exercise good judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent time management skills are required.
• Must be detail-oriented with a high level of customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to listen and speak with others to convey information effectively.
• Exhibit regular and consistent attendance in a timely manner at the place of work.
• Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment for job-appropriate duties to include protective eyewear, clothing, gloves, and appropriate footwear to provide protection from chemicals and other potential work hazards, in accordance with the Automated Dairy PPE Program.
