Chula Vista ESD In-Person Bilingual Tutor '24 - Get Referred!

HeyTutor is looking to hire part-time Bilingual (Spanish) tutors to help K-6th students with basic ELA, Math and Homework help. We have 17 positions available within the Chula Vista area that we are looking to fill. This is a Part time / In Person position paying $19 to $24 per hour and we are aiming to start this role within the week.

Position: PK-6th School Bilingual Tutor

Responsibilities:

• Assess Spanish speaker students’ current in English and Math skills.
• Help students work through their homework and study for exams.
• Provide mentoring and social and emotional support by encouraging impactful, positive tutor-student relationships and increasing students’ motivation and engagement in learning.

Qualifications:

• Candidates who are currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program or have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree. Some kind of experience with children would be considered.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting with grade school students.
• Successfully complete a Background Check and Negative TB test

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday: 2:30 – 5:45pm and Friday 1:15 – 5:45pm (17/18 hours per week)
• *Please note the start times will vary between each school site depending on bell schedule*

Pay Information:

• Pay is in between $19-24 per hour
• Paid bi-weekly
