Job Description:

We are in search of skilled and enthusiastic individuals to take on the exciting challenges of engineering in the field of communications. As a Communications and Signal Processing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in either Reston, VA or Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement communication waveforms tailored to specific requirements.
• Evaluate and implement modulation and demodulation schemes to optimize performance.
• Develop and integrate forward error correction (FEC) and interleaving techniques.
• Implement methods for clutter rejection to enhance signal clarity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, Master's degree with 2 years of experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing communication waveforms.
• Proficiency in implementing modulation/demodulation schemes.
• Knowledge of FEC and interleaving methods.
• Experience with clutter rejection techniques.
• Strong background in communications and RF theory.
• Familiarity with transmitter and receiver architectures.
• Proficiency in modeling and simulating using MATLAB.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in developing fieldable prototypes and conducting testing and validation.
• Familiarity with Electronic Warfare (EW) and Low Probability of Intercept/Low Probability of Detection (LPI/LPD) techniques.
• Background in wireless technologies such as 5G, LTE-M, or mmWave.
• Proficiency in Python.
