Our client in central Kentucky is a privately owned plastic injection molding organization that has a rich history of stable growth, producing parts for their customers in the automotive and customer goods industry. This plant is a climate-controlled, new facility that is projected major growth over the next several years!
Due to company growth, we are looking for a Sr. Tool and Die Technician who will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all tools and dies for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Repair, maintain, and fabricate all injection molding molds and dies
- Utilize in-house lathes, grinders, and machining equipment to perform all related maintenance
- Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues
- Collaborate with engineering to find the root cause of tooling problems
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to perform desired dimensioning
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Journeyman’s certification, preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
