Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a BILINGUAL Hotel Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Hotel Accountant will work closely with the finance team and department heads to maintain accurate financial records and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and customer billing.

Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis for management review.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing analysis and recommendations to optimize financial performance.

Monitor and analyze variances between budgeted and actual expenses, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits to provide documentation and support as required.

Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing financial reporting and taxation.

Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with hotel management systems is a plus.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
