Continued growth and expansion have created the need for a Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced team. To ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills to work with individual and corporate clients as well as internal staff. The Senior Accountant will work independently, as well as, assist our Accounting Team on special projects as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Prepare for review and work closely with external accountants (as needed)
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting & financial data analysis
- Knowledge of ERP, applicable laws, codes, and regulations
- Experienced in AP, AR & Payroll analysis and processing
- Advanced G/L experience
Skills & Abilities:
- CPA or public accounting experience
- Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
- Strong interpersonal & leadership skills
- Ability to analyze data and make sound conclusions with measurable metrics
