OVERVIEW:

Civil Techs must be able to follow strict risk management guidelines while ensuring quality work in a fast-paced environment. Jobs will include turn-key tower sites and tower modifications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Properly follows all safety procedures and policies.

• Complete various job duties safely and efficiently with confidence and little to no supervision.

• Safely and properly use hand tools and mechanical equipment.

• Identify and report any safety hazards to the foreman or lead technician.

• Perform general construction of tower sites to include, but not limited to Site layout, erection, installation and maintenance, and repair in accordance with specific job orders.

• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment.

• Pick up and deliver supplies, tools, equipment components, etc. To job sites and service center warehouses.

• Follow directions given either by the foreman, lead or management.

• Obtain tools within 90 days of employment

• Communicate and represent East Coast Communications in a respectable manner, whether with the public, with co-workers, vendors, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools and mechanical equipment.

• Experience in the tower industry is preferred but General construction and other experience related work is acceptable.

• Ability to recognize safety Hazards.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. *Class A Drivers Needed

• Able to travel out of town on a limited basis as needed.

• Able to meet physical requirements such as standing, bending, and lifting for the duration of shift.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Physical.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• 90% of work is outdoors and year-round and occasionally in extreme weather conditions

• Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests.

• Clear visual ability, with or without correction

• Ability to reach and stretch repetitively

• Ability to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time
