Stockroom Supervisor

Job Title: LAX Stockroom Supervisor

Department: Materials

Reports To: Materials Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct and manage all Kalitta Air outstation stockroom personnel, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• · Administration of incoming and outgoing freight transactions, accurately completing Kalitta Air receiving documents in accordance with established procedures.
• · Verifying quantities, parts numbers, descriptions, serial numbers, batch numbers and conditions of inbound and outbound shipments. Completing Kalitta Air shipping/receiving documents by following procedures IAW the Kalitta Air GMM.
• · Selecting an appropriate air carrier based on delivery requirements to ensure on time, economical delivery, being knowledgeable of common carrier terminologies to ensure accuracy of freight documents.
• · Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
• · The organization and cleanliness of the LAX warehouse and AOA stockrooms.
• · Preparing and packaging material including Dangerous Goods for shipment in accordance with company procedures.
• · Maintaining a secure warehouse environment for company owned material to ensure accountability of assets.
• · Ensure that serviceable parts and materials are segregated from unserviceable parts and materials.
• · Ensure that receiving inspections are accomplished in incoming parts and materials.
• · Knowledge of current computer systems, making accurate data entries in accordance with established procedures.
• · Knowledge of common warehouse practices and warehouse tool operations, for example: forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• · Ensure that assigned personnel complete and due/overdue training.
• · Monitor and manage all stockroom staff’s work schedule and duties.
• · Perform other duties as directed by the Materials Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.

Aviation experience preferred w/ background in navigating and using Inventory

Management databases. Microsoft Office experience is required, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient communication skills is a must.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to create / write routine reports and correspondence.
