The Assistant Manager of Inventory and Quality Control will work to maintain optimum inventory levels while obtaining the required materials needed to support Batteries Plus distribution and shipping activities. Additionally, you will ov n of materials and products to ensure adherence ished quality standards. The Sr. Supervisor, Inventory and Quality Control will assist in the development, implementation, and maintaining of inventory control policies,
procd procedures.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Prioritize, schedule, delegate, and directly manage inventory control functions.
  • Manage required materials needed to support distribution and shipping activities.
  • Develop, monitor and report on inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Oversee the execution of cycle counts to verify accuracy and make inventory adjustments as needed.
  • Oversee obsolete and write-off processing while ensuring accurate end-of-the-month inventory age reporting.
  • Perform financial reconciliations of inventory, overage/shortage claims, franchise settlement of claims, and inventory reserve.
  • Maintain inventory, inbound shipments, and audits at third-party warehouses, if needed.
  • Manage warehousing by maintaining inventory levels that optimize storage space.
  • Coordinate with multiple internal teams on the timely movement of materials, material identification, and order processing to ensure optimum inventory levels.
  • Direct the completion, organizing, and maintenance of all required paperwork, reports, records, documentation, etc.

Quality Management
  • Act as the Distribution Center liaison working to collaborate with the corporate Quality Assurance department, ensuring sourced products comply with industry standards and government regulations.
  • Oversee quality audits including OCV validations during the Inbound receiving process.
  • Collaborate with the receiving team to ensure the quality of received materials.
  • Oversee warehouse "charging" function, ensure necessary equipment and staffing levels are maintained.
  • Oversee scrap and vendor quality returns to ensure proper segregation and tracking.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations Management, or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3 or more years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or operations management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within ERP and WMS systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills including measurements, calculations, volumes.
  • Analytical skills to review data and identify trends and anomalies.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become forklift certified.
