KGI was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the U.S. Coast Guard. KGI has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies. In the past 10 years we have grown our service offerings to include infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients.

Position Overview:

KGI is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic VP of Human Resources to assist in the growth of the organization. Individuals with experience helping to guide HR processes. The right candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to see the bigger picture while proving their ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

The VP of Human Resources is responsible for performing Human Resource (HR) related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, performance management, recruiting and hiring talent, onboarding and employment processing, policy development and implementation, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The VP advises leadership on all human resources issues with broad and current subject matter knowledge, including expertise in federal and state employment laws.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as VP of HR or other senior HR roles
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or Management
  • Demonstrated experience of 10 years or more in HR for organizations of 150 or more people
  • Must have strong government contracting experience. Specifically, SCA and Non-SCA laws.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • At least five years of experience supporting management level individuals
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation
  • Ability to use metrics and analytics
  • HR Certifications are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of onboarding new employees, government recruiting, and performance management
