Job Description

Job Title: General Manager | Kansas City, MO

Day-to-day Role:

Supervise, manage, coordinate, and direct operation of the entire production facility, including decision-making regarding installation and repairs of major equipment, the production workforce, and related policies and procedures. Manage, oversee and direct other duties and functions including; material sourcing, procurement, sales, safety plant operations, staffing, customer service, and quality.
Establish goals, track results, and measure and analyze operations as they relate to uptime, quality, and productivity. Provide leadership and strategic direction for personnel as well as direct activities of support groups such as production, warehouse, logistics, human resources, customer service, and purchasing.
Develop departmental and company budgets. Maintain control cost within budgetary limits to achieve profitability; manage initiatives for cost savings company-wide. Develop and implement action plans for increasing plant profitability (create efficiencies; reduce waste, proficient purchasing); implement value added opportunities for Partners and Customers. Review, analyze, understand, and share annual budget, forecasts, and monthly financial summaries with appropriate personnel.
Ability to build outstanding customer relationships and understand their business needs; develop and maintain successful business contacts with Partners and outside market customers.
Training employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; conflict resolution; team building; coach and lead employees to improve; address complaints and resolve problems; document; and set an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance. Counsel employees both professionally and personally when they need it.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to compute rates and ratios. Ability to generate and interpret graphical representations.

Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience in a Management role (Sales, Manufacturing, Finance).
Experience overseeing production, financials, safety, quality, information technology, and human resources.
Corrugated manufacturing experience.
