A full-service engineering firm that specializes in Construction Engineering and Construction Inspections is hiring for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician! This position does not require previous experience and is great opportunity to begin a career with a growing company.
As a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, you will be responsible for in-the-field testing of concrete, soils and other construction materials. You will use a company provided vehicle to travel to job sites in the area to perform routine field testing including compaction testing, sampling and observations of soils, stone and asphalt. You will also perform concrete, grout and masonry quality control tests through sampling and visual observation, document and report your findings.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate company vehicle to and from job sites
- Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete
- Work with trainer to prepare detailed field reports
- Review site conditions on construction projects and provide recommendations
- Ensure completed work is in accordance with project specifications
- Communicates with staff regarding any concerns
Who We’re Looking For
- Entry level professionals accepted, employer training provided
- Prior construction or field testing experience is a plus
- Valid driver license and clean driving record required
- Physically able to walk up and down slopes and uneven terrain, work outdoors in the heat for 8 – 10 hours a day, and lift/carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs
- Available to work weekends and extended hours (advance notice provided)
- Mathematical understanding
What You Can Expect
- $16.00/hr training pay, eligibility for pay increase after 90 days
- Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Occasional Saturdays, potential overtime, minimal nights

- 2 weeks of vacation after 90 days
- 1 week PTO after 90 days
- Year-end performance bonuses
