Primary Position Objectives

Required to operate hand truck and/or forklift truck in the movement of materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility or onto trucks.

Position Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Description of Duties

Material

Performs various material handling duties within the facility.
Manually loads raw material or finished product on skid, hand truck or forklift.
Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas.
May be required to clean up and dispose of scrap, cardboard boxes etc. and places in proper containers or designated areas.
Required to move incoming and outgoing product as required.
Required to weigh and log incoming jobs to department.
Required to package orders for shipment.

Lean Initiatives

Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
Participates in continuous improvement projects.

Other

Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
Performs other duties as may be required.
Attendance is an essential function of the job

Qualifications

Education / Experience

High School graduate or demonstration of equivalent skills
Basic math skills.
Basic computer skills
Forklift operation skills.
Ability to understand and follow directions

Physical Requirements

Visual Sharpness (corrected) to operate machines (including visual inspection procedures).
Manual dexterity. Substantial movements (motions) of the arms, wrists, hand and /or fingers.
Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from

position-to-position.

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
