Be part of an Enterprise Digital Transformation team supporting a large defense agency focused on health IT solutions. The successful candidate will identify the strengths and weaknesses of existing internal processes, methods and tools, and present findings and recommendations to business process owners. The Business Process Engineer (BPE) with define requirements for information systems required to facilitate and support business process improvements. BPE will use appropriate tools to perform problem determination and root cause analysis and illustrate bottlenecks, redundancies, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for enhanced efficiency or effectiveness. The end objective is alignment of IT solutions to Business Architecture (People, Processes, and Information) needed to deliver each capability to drive standardization of IT (via shared utilities and consolidated workflows) and business processes.

An understanding of DoD and government security standards and policies are needed to ensure all deployed changes are highly secure and available.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in transforming large-scale organizations utilizing industry-leading business process engineering methods and techniques.
  • 10+ years of experience with business analysis, modeling, and engineering in an enterprise environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working within the Hospital/Healthcare administration domain.
  • Hands-on experience with business process improvement or modeling.
  • Lean process knowledge, certification preferred
  • Business analysis experience, CBAP certification preferred
  • Ability to analyze data and develop graphs, charts, reports, and other visualizations.
  • Experience working as a trusted advisor in a matrixed organization or in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and handle diverse assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact with sponsors to understand their requirements/expectations.

Typical Duties/Abilities:

  • Conduct research, evaluations, studies, and analysis with minimal guidance.
  • Author or contribute substantive content to change management plans, reports, processes, policies, regulations, and SOPs with minimal guidance.
  • Process large volumes of complex data rapidly and accurately and translate highly technical and programmatic data into actionable reports.
  • Lead or participate in approved studies and projects and provide analysis in response to specific requests.
  • Analyze business and operational processes to understand interdependencies.
  • Develop use cases and user stories.
  • Supporting the Program Management Office (PMO) and/or users to address their requests, questions, and concerns.

Soft Skills

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.
  • Ability to articulate business and technical requirements and bring about consensus.

Education/Certifications:

  • BS degree in Information Technology or another related technical discipline.
