As an Environmental Sustainability Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Manage and/or support engineering projects focusing on decarbonization and energy efficiency, overseeing them from inception to completion.
    • Conduct assessments of energy usage, site investigations, and studies to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
    • Perform environmental engineering studies and prepare reports on environmental impact for various projects, including new constructions, plant processes, and permits.
    • Offer technical expertise and calculate reductions in energy usage and CO2 emissions for engineering projects. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams at manufacturing facilities to develop and deploy sustainable solutions that minimize environmental impact and advance sustainability goals.
    • Operate independently with general oversight.
    • Possibly influence others in the field through clarification of facts, policies, and procedures.

    Education/Experience

    • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Possess a minimum of two years of experience in energy-related roles, preferably within automotive or heavy-duty industrial manufacturing.

    Qualifications

    • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in energy management, energy efficiency, and decarbonization strategies.
    • Have experience with data analytics and energy programs.
    • Demonstrate familiarity with investigating and implementing various renewable energy solutions.
    • Show competence in calculating energy and CO2 reductions within engineering contexts.
    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Maintain an open-minded and positive approach to people and problem-solving.
    • Exhibit a good understanding of the automotive and heavy-duty trucks industry.


    Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
