Job Summary: The Community Engagement Director will lead a diverse team responsible for supporting LCAP’s mission and vision by expanding awareness, engaging the public, and attracting new clients. This position will oversee the planning and objectives for Marketing, Activities, and Outreach staff. This position is an integral part of the overall senior management team with responsibility for execution of the organizational goals and strategic objectives.

Personal & Professional Attributes: Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy and understanding of the needs of older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals, display common sense and good judgment, and actively promote LCAP to the public. Uphold the highest level of confidentiality, honesty and integrity, and represent the organization positively and professionally at all times.

Core Technology Competencies: Demonstrated working knowledge of computer operations and standard office equipment (copiers, faxes, etc.) and must be able to utilize all Microsoft Office services

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or five years equivalent experience in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with various community partners.
  • Experience in data analytics and program evaluation preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing marketing plans.
  • Significant experience providing a thorough knowledge of supervision, administration, and management methods.
Requirements:

General Requirements: Commitment and desire to provide excellent service to all clients and aging community members. Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend, and follow policies and procedures and develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff. Must be able to satisfactorily perform all the job responsibilities and meet the physical requirements of that same job title. All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License, as well as the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff in marketing, activities, and outreach.
  • Complete ongoing performance evaluations for supervised staff.
  • Positively and effectively represent LCAP by making presentations, attending meetings and events, and participating in community and professional organizations.
  • Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with community partners.
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential partners for educational initiatives, community events, and programming.
  • Coordinate print, web, and social media in cooperation with the marketing team to promote LCAP and its work to external audiences.
  • Lead the development and coordination of public participation initiatives and creative outreach strategies to engage the public and community stakeholders to create interest in the agency’s projects, plans, and programs.
  • Administer assigned budgetary accounts and monitors spending. Approve requisitions and expenses, and purchases materials and equipment in compliance with approved budget.
  • Model high performance standards characterized by integrity, and to earn trust and respect of others by coaching, inspiring, and empowering teams of people to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Hire department staff and work to ensure all staff perform duties according to established policies and procedures.
  • Develop internal and external communications with tact, finesse, and confidentiality according to LCAP policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as needed or as assigned.

Salary Range: $53,508-$80,262 yearly
