Job Description

Temporary – Intern Position

Great Lakes Integrated Network (GLIN), an affiliate of Kaleida Health and Erie County Medical Center Corporation, is a Buffalo-based, physician-led independent physicians association (IPA) consisting of approximately 900 physicians in the areas of primary and specialty care. The mission of GLIN is to transform the healthcare experience in Western New York, promoting high-quality, equitable and efficient healthcare through innovation and collaboration.

Great Lakes Integrated Network is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Analytics Intern to join our team. The Analytics Intern will be assigned an innovative project that will help advance GLIN’s mission and can be completed within the allotted 8 week window. This job also has the goal of providing the opportunity to acquire practical experience through direct exposure to the related business line and related areas, helping to prepare the participant for future positions within the industry.

Analytics Intern Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily administrative duties.
  • Lead projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of company projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct analyses that deliver effective decision-making support by analyzing complex financial information, forecasting business, industry, and economic conditions, and presenting implications and innovative solutions to senior management.
  • Create and implement methodology using multiple techniques to forecast the financial performance of value-based contracts. This can include probability and statistics or actuarial techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Analytics Intern Requirements:

  • Familiarity in Microsoft suite, word, excel and powerpoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, health administration, mathematics, finance, economics, or other related fields
  • This hybrid- remote internship will be M-F 40 hours/week in the GLIN office at Larkin at Exchange, 726 Exchange Buffalo, NY.

* As a hybrid-remote position candidates must reside in WNY to be considered.

Pay range $15.00 to $17.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to market data, education, experience, qualifications, and expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
