Definition

The Manager, Lydia’s Place and Workforce Development is responsible for the management of Renewal, Inc.’s re-entry services program including Lydia’s Place, housing coordination, workforce development, community service, life skills education, and the family and mentoring program. This position is responsible for ensuring the operations and activities remain in accord with Renewal, Inc.’s standards and core values while working with various community collaborators to provide opportunities for clients. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of ITQ referrals and approvals, conducting community outreach, ensuring billing is submitted in a timely manner, and overseeing the physical environment for both Lydia’s Place the workforce development program. This person is responsible for coordinating the level of service delivery by all workforce development and housing staff in accordance with the PBPP and DOC standards of the workforce ITQ. This individual is responsible for the management of Renewal, Inc.’s GetPaid job training program including working closely with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

Eligibility Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field and four (4) years supervisory experience or a Master’s degree plus two (2) years supervisory experience required. CAC is preferred along with a working knowledge of chemical dependency and addictive disorders.

A demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of criminality and its related issues, knowledge of the criminal justice system and its requirements, supervisory skills and experience is required. This person must have a demonstrated ability to work as a team member.
