PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Associate Director of Major Gifts & Alumni Relations is responsible for:
* Working closely with Director of Advancement to manage current and lapsed donors, to grow Annual Fund and grow alumni engagement through giving
* Developing and implementingstrategies to solicit alumni support, including volunteering, mentoring, and financial contributions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Gift cultivation, solicitation & Donation Entry (70% of time)
* Manage assigned donor portfolio, contacting donors every few months and keeping detailed records within DonorPerfect of conversations
* Develop and implement appropriate individualized qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
* plans for key prospects and current donors within the assigned portfolio.
* Set-Up &/or conduct one-on-one visits with a designated number of prospective donors face-to-face and via phone per year.
* Track development activity and donor interactions by entering key interactions and strategies into the fundraising database. Use tracking data to establish quarterly reports on overall alumni engagement, total giving, and volunteerism.
* Collaborate and partner with other members of the Office of Advancement to enhance interactions with donors and increase major gift potential and giving.
* Develop a strong working knowledge of the DonorPerfect CRM system, including pulling necessary data and using data to create new potential opportunities.
* Responsible for daily gift entries and correspondence along with bi-monthly discussions with Director of Advancement on annual fund goal
Alumni Relations (30% of time)
* Manage the shadow program including tours, student ambassadors and evaluations (from families after shadow day), working with Associate Director of Admissions & Communication on shadow day schedule
* Act as the primary liaison between alumni and DeSales to advance the Mission and foster a culture of philanthropy among alumni.
* Organize and attend group cultivation outings (such as monthly coffee gatherings, alumni nights) with alumni to further engagement in event & giving participation.
* Help organize and plan alumni events in collaboration with the Director of Community Events (Reunions, HOH, Alumni Golf, etc).
* Ensure that accurate alumni records are maintained.
* Manages communication to alumni including social media, emails, website, newsletters, portal, acknowledgements, and invitations.
