We are a small family owned two location business! We take children from a range of ages from 6 weeks old, toddlers, 3's and 4's, and Elementary age for after school. We do our best, attending to the children's needs while fostering age appropriate early development skills.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Teacher at Jans Kidz Childcare located in Port Chester, NY. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating daily classroom activities. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, promote their social-emotional development, and effectively communicate with parents, families and staff. You will have an assistant who you will work together as a team and take on each day!
- Qualifications
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles
- Ability to create age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Lots of patience
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications (We are willing to help the right candidate obtain it!)
- Ability to pass a background check
