Mechanical Technician Job Description:

PrideStaff is recruiting for a global leader in search of a Mechanical Technician who will work as part of the production team and be responsible for the integration, assembly, testing, crating, packing and shipping of industrial X-Ray systems. 

The ideal Mechanical Technician has experience with electro-mechanical assembly, demonstrates a solid understanding of electrical wiring, and has experience working with BOMS, MRP or ERP systems.  The Mechanical Technician is a full time, direct hire position in East Haven, CT. 

Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:

• Fabricate & Assemble Parts, Components & Assemblies For New Equipment & Systems from Prints & Verbal Directions

• Provide Hands-on Electro-Mechanical Support of Machine Construction to Include Mechanical Fabrication Tasks, Electrical Panel Building, Machine Wiring, Startup & Testing as Well as Performing Some Machining Tasks as Needed

• Layout, Measure & Cut Frames, Cabinets, Panels & Other Related Components as Required 

• Responsible For Primary Machine Mechanical Assembly & Disassembly 

• Follow Compliance With US & European Standards, Defined Quality Standards, All Related Company Design & Safety Standards

• Wiring of Custom Systems to Include; Pulling Wire, Terminating, Bending Conduit, Wiring Motors & Electrical Panels

• Keep Department Clean, Organized Utilizing Material Movement & Forklift Operation

Mechanical Technician Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 

• 2+ Years of Hands on Experience in a Manufacturing Environment ideally with Fabrication of Complex Electro-Mechanical Systems

• Previous Fabrication & Layout Skills Required Along With Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude

• Experience Reading Wiring Diagrams, Schematics & Engineering Documentation 

• Must be Proficient in Cutting, Stripping, Tinning, Crimping Cable, & Harness 

• Experience With X-Ray Technology Preferred
