Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist

We are an established marketing agency based out of New England. We're looking for an experienced, and SEO Specialist to work with our team. You will be working closely with the digital marketing and web development departments. This is a remote and contract position. Must be U.S. based and speak English fluently. Can be remote.

Candidates with 5+ years of professional SEO experience preferred. We need someone that can perform the tasks on deadlines to get the measurable and sustainable results, not client-facing candidates,

Overview

• We are looking for an SEO Specialist to perform core SEO efforts (including onsite and offsite optimization and keyword expansion research)
• Backlinking & Outreach connection/experience preferred
• Agency and Corporate background (preferred)
• We are looking for an analytical and perceptive professional who can communicate clearly and is able to collaborate with various personnel
• Current knowledge of effective white hat SEO practices and techniques is essential to this role
• Able to quickly notice and raise concerns regarding content that will have a major impact on search-engine optimization

Duties:

• Developing and implementing effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies
• Offsite and onsite optimization and reporting on performance
• Can build strategic links with out-of-the-box strategies and measure performance to see if the strategy is working on not
• NO WEB 2.0 - building links using PPT, PDFs, Classified Submissions, Social Bookmarking, etc.
• Recommending core content, design, social media, pay-per-click (PPC) marketing and other activities a plus

Other Responsibilities:

• Be Self-motivated and work well independently
• Conduct keyword research when needed
• Review technical SEO issues and recommend fixes
• Recommend specifics to Optimize website content, landing pages and paid search copy
• Implement and report on off-page optimization — link-building
• Collect data and report on traffic, rankings and other SEO aspects as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role
• Knowledge of current and best SEO practices
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
• Experience with SEO reporting
• Experience with national SEO especially for industrial companies
• Experience with Google keywords suggestions
• Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Spyfu, MOZ, etc) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends)
• Able to acquire white hat backlinks with high Domain and page authority from high traffic websites
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Analytical and proactive mindset
• BSc/BA in Marketing, Business or related field is a plus
