The Senior Accountant holds a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization. By supervising the preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and process enhancements, this position significantly contributes to maintaining precise and timely financial records. Must be detail-oriented, have accounting experience, and uphold a strong commitment to excellence.3

Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Close, Journal Entries, and Reconciliations:
Lead month-end close process.
Prepare and review journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
Analyze balance sheet discrepancies and make corrections.
Coordinate with departments for transaction documentation.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements.
Maintain internal controls.
Analyze financial records and variances.
Generate ad hoc reports.
Process Improvement:
Aid ERP system implementation.
Develop SOPs.
Identify and implement accounting process enhancements.
Other Responsibilities:
Collaborate on Accounts Payable processes.
Serve as point of contact for transit data confirmation.
Oversee internal toll audit function.
Enhance reports for the new BOS system.
Track infrastructure project costs.
Assist with audits and special projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 2 years accounting experience.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft GP Dynamics preferred).
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
