STATUS: Full time
LOCATION: Remote; work from anywhere within the United States
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Frequent; up to 50% of the employee’s time

We partner with systems professionals and communities to get to the root of their biggest challenges and share tools and knowledge to achieve better outcomes for everyone involved.WHO SHOULD APPLY?Evident Change seeks a specialist with deep expertise in the Team Decision Making® (TDM™) approach and family team meeting (FTM) work. We are looking for someone with experience as a child welfare practitioner, FTM facilitator, consultant, or trainer, and/or those with lived experience and firsthand knowledge of these systems to help support TDM implementation. The TDM approach is an evidence-supported facilitated family meeting model that quickly brings together important people who care about children and families at key decision points in a child welfare case.

The national average salary for this position ranges between $70,000 and $86,000 per year; compensation within this range is dependent on experience, parity with peers, and where an employee lives. Evident Change also provides a monthly stipend to support our “work from anywhere” culture as well as other great benefits, including customizable medical, vision, and dental coverage.WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKWEEK LOOK LIKE?Get ready to:
  • Develop work plans and oversee specific projects and/or deliverables in our TDM and family meeting work;
  • Engage daily and consult with our client social service agencies around the world, and travel to client sites when needed (up to 50% of the time);
  • Collaborate as a team across disciplines to help improve systems;
  • Facilitate and lead meetings, trainings, and workgroups;
  • Develop training materials and curricula;
  • Write reports, newsletter articles, and blog posts; and
  • Observe TDM meetings and provide feedback to facilitators in debrief meetings.
 WHo are we looking for?Minimum qualifications include the following:
  • Direct experience with child protective services practice.
  • Direct experience facilitating TDM meetings and/or FTM practices.
  • Experience in child welfare direct practice or supervision, research, training, or consulting.
  • Commitment to equity, social justice, and personal and professional development in these areas.
  • Comfort working with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultural identities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Additional assets a candidate may possess include the following:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, social science, public policy, or law. 
  • Lived experience with a social service system. 
  • Experience participating in child welfare system improvement projects.
  • Good working knowledge of the Structured Decision Making® system and/or Safety-Organized Practice.

 what can you expect from our recruitment process?We generally advertise our jobs throughout the United States. This provides an opportunity to reflect and expand on areas of interest, allowing both you and Evident Change to determine whether the position is right for you. From there, selected candidates are invited to participate in a panel interview.
