Die Welder

EST Tool & Machine is seeking qualified candidates for our Die Welder position. The Die Welder role is an hourly position. The primary purpose of this role is to repair dies using Mig, Tig, and stick welding, while also using other equipment such as an overhead crane, a pneumatic chipping hammer, forklift, etc. This position requires the ability to read blueprints and interpret sketches, as well as the ability to use basic measuring tools (tape measure, scale, calipers and mics), and able to follow welding procedures given.

Minimum of 1 year of welding experience and owning your own tools is required, with Die welding experience being preferred. Candidates must be able to work 8-10 hr a day Monday- Friday and be able to work on Saturdays.

Being a die welder is different than other welding activities, as dies are a minimum of 800 degrees and must stay extremely clean. Forging the weld as soon as you are finished welding helps so the stress is relieved out of the weld.

• Needle scaler and pneumatic air hammer.
• Arc gouge
• Plasma cutter
• Oxy/acetylene torch

Pay Range: $16-$22 (based on experience)

Shift: 2nd or 3rd
