Material Support Agent

Summary: Inventory Management, including receiving of incoming shipments, stocking, picking orders for customer, cleaning up excess packaging and communicating material availability to internal customers. Hours are M-F 10:00am – 7:00pm

Responsibilities: Receive shipments and verify item(s), quantity, and physical condition of order upon receipt. Unload, check, store, and distribute incoming merchandise according to company procedures. Inspect shipments for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to ensure that they meet company standards for quality and quantity. Review reports on inventory levels to ensure that there is enough stock on hand to meet customer demand. File, distribute and maintain MSDS/SDS manual and electronic library. Resolve discrepancies with Materials Supervisor / Procurement Manager upon noticing inaccuracies.

Qualifications: Listening skills, verbal communication skills, and exceptional attendance are necessary. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must be team player. HS Diploma/GED is necessary. Must be able to perform in a position that requires a high level of attention to detail.

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $16.00 to $18.00 hourly The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
