Information Assurance Engineer (ISSE)

Ampsight is seeking an Information Assurance Engineer (ISSO/ISSE) to join our fast-growing team. To be successful in this role you must have an active TS/SCI security clearance, passionate about technology and building a career in Cloud, Cyber and Machine Learning. You will collaborate with a high-performance, agile team of talented Engineers, Architects, and Data Scientists to design and integrate systems, create cutting-edge solutions optimized for AWS, and provide hands-on Cloud analytics and Machine Learning consulting services to defense and intelligence customers in the federal government.
Requirements
- US citizenship required
- An active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Willing to go onsite as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certification
- 8 or more years of experience designing large complex IT operations in an organization
- Experience with RMF and A&A
- Knowledgeable of standards and procedures associated with Information Assurance
- Extensive experience monitoring and resolving security issues
- Experience in designing and implementing security systems
- Experience with Tanium, Nessus and Splunk
- String written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and foster relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands
- Determine enterprise information assurance and security standards
- Develop and implement information assurance/security standards and procedures
- Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies
- Recommend information assurance/security solutions to support customer requirements
- Analyze and define security requirements for computer systems, which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers
- Direct the actions of RME personnel to coordinate, develop, and evaluate security programs for the organization
- Lead the Risk Management Engineering (RME) team in planning and preparation for security assessment and authorization (A&A) as part of the Departments Information Assurance policy and FISMA implementation efforts
- Ensure the branch follows the process for Notifications of Change, security audits and compliance, IT Review Board change requests and other required IT system documentation
- Ensure compliance with standards and procedures including all FAMs and FAHs on automated information systems requirements
