Manager Mailing Department

Job Summary: Works with customer supplied data to produce personalized printed materials and to make variable data product available on the digital storefront (DSF). Manages a team of 14, consisting of Inserter Operators, Inkjet Operators, Mailing Data Specialists and Mailing Administrators.

Responsibilities and Duties:

General and Administrative

Key Responsibilities:

·         Manage a team of 14 employees.

·         Oversee all operations from uploading files, data matching to scheduling Inkjet and Insertor runs.

·         Develop departmental procedures, establish analytics for reporting purposes.

·         Maintain logs and records to show correspondence activities.

·         Accomplish business objectives by communicating job expectations (plan, monitor and appraise job results).

·         Interview, select, orient and train employees.

·         Establish employee performance management policies and procedures.

·         Attend to special projects and general office management tasks as needed.

·         Must have working knowledge of USPS regulations.

·         Must be familiar with Mail Manager Database software.                           

·         CASS Certification

·         NCOA processing

·         Microsoft Excel and other database formats

·         Has immediate knowledge of bindery and finishing operations.

·         Knowledge of barcode formatting and encoding – Intelligent Mail and UPC

·         Familiar with Adobe Acrobat and PDF file formats.           

·         Familiar with Familiar with Adobe Acrobat and PDF file formats.

·         Familiar with PGP email and document encryption algorithms.

·         Can push or pull files from remote sites using standard internet protocols, (FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS).

Physical Requirements:

·         Must be able to lift 20 lbs and job may require intermittent periods of sitting and standing.
