Job Description

2nd Shift - 4:45pm-12:30am
Under general supervision set up, adjust and operate a machine tool on standardized work where set up detail and operating procedures are prescribed or operate and maintain setups on special and single purpose machines where operations may involve at least seven progressive precision sequences/operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operate at least seven different types of OJT certified equipment or processes efficiently with no quality issues.
Perform machine set ups or processes on at least seven machines according to specifications of work order and procedures to carry out a particular phase of the production cycle.
Performs dimensional inspection of specimens and use of measuring equipment.
Must Produce specimens within required tolerances.
Programs new parts from scratch on any CNC equipment they are qualified to operate.
Responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition.
Follows all safety rules regarding machine operations and proper guarding.
Assists in on-the-job training of new or current machinists with their machines and processes.
