Title: JIRA Admin with Atlassian

Location: Florida State Uni, FL (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term

Contract Role

Role Description:

  • Configuration, maintenance, and administration of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Desk)
  • system administration experience of Atlassian systems (JSD/JSM, Jira server (Windows/Linux/Cloud)
  • Experience in configuring user permissions and roles in Jira.
  • Experience in the design, build, customization and roll out of advanced Jira workflows (script runner plus automation), and schemes.
  • Custom Jira dashboard creation for analytics
  • Proven Jira Administration experience with deep knowledge of best practices
  • Expert level experience with Jira Service Management (configuration, automations, workflows, integrations, CMDB/Assets); building new solutions.
  • Experience with Jira Software, Confluence
  • Experience in adding New Jira Users, Creating Jira Projects, troubleshooting permission issues and missing notifications.
  • Experience in configuring Jira security policy, vulnerability remediation.
  • Handled Jira patch updates and backup.
  • Experienced in the selection and implementation of Marketplace apps.
  • Experience developing custom plugins for JSM/Jira
  • Ability to drive business analysis / requirements sessions.
  • Knowledge of ITSM practices and how they are fulfilled with JSM.
  • Knowledge and application of best practices for JSM/Jira
  • Evaluate and manage the usage of Atlassian add-ons to meet team and business needs.
  • Work with development and design teams to identify procedural efficiencies, such as with Jira Workflows, custom fields, etc.
  • Devise, test, and deploy integrations between Atlassian products and other internal tool chains.
  • Conduct training for employees and new hires on JIRA and also briefing the team/s on new functionalities.
  • Research and implement new approaches on Jira and Confluence usage. ? Prompt issue resolution with JIRA Projects and Confluence in coordination with other admins, partner teams and Atlassian premier support.
  • Experience administrating Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Desk)
  • 3-4 years of system administration experience of Atlassian systems (JSD/JSM, Jira server (Windows/Linux/Cloud)
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with JQL
  • Atlassian profession certificates - ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud Certification or ACP-100 Jira Administration for Data Center
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of both Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Experience extending Atlassian products via code development is preferable.
  • Experience directly integrating Atlassian products with other systems is preferable.? Knowledge of script runner is a plus.
