BASIC FUNCTION: Support Engineering and Sales efforts associated with the sale, design and support of our systems through the generation and maintenance of technical documentation.
Duties/Essential Job Functions:
• Mechanical Design – primarily light industrial machinery involving:
o Weldments
o Sheet Metal
o Fabricated components
o Pneumatics
o Motion components – bearings, rails, shafts, belts, pulleys, chains, motors
o Incorporating electrical control devices
• Generate and maintain technical documentation including:
o Pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and diagrams
o Assembly drawings
o Mechanical details, layouts and assemblies
o Installation drawings and Procedures
o Parts Lists
o Manuals
• Project Management – Work with Production to:
o Establish time line for project from receipt of PO to shipment
o Create customer project specific drawings and parts list
o Assist with the plan to assemble and test equipment and make ready for shipment
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of related design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with design of light industrial machinery
• Computer skills - PC literate.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized – able to manage multiple projects at different stages
