Packaging Machine Operator: Newark, OH

Job Description:
The Packaging Operator role is the entry level role at the Mt. Vernon facility. This role is responsible for
packaging, cleaning, and relieving for breaks. This role will primarily work in the production area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Spotting out-bound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock-locks
Reclaiming off-quality Unbonded Loose fill and refeeding the material to the forehearth
Packaging operator placing bags on bagger equipment snouts ensuring proper packaging of finished goods
material
Performs general cleanup duties in designated areas (including, but not limited to, sweeping floor, blowing
down the line/robot, cleaning break rooms, etc.).
Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes
Perform special needs as determined by plant staff
Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1 3 years manufacturing experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
Must have the ability to multi-task
Must have strong internal and external customer service skills
Must work well in team environment
Must be able to work independently
Must have to ability to do intermediate mathematical calculations
Timekeeping:
Supplier to provide contractor timecard. The contractor will get timecard approved by Plant Leader and send to supplier to enter VNDLY for approval. The site will reconcile for approval against a copy of the timecard.
Orientation:
1-2 days
Start Time: 8:00am
End Time: 4:30pm
First day will be classroom training.
First week there will be some on the floor training.
Upon arrival on Day 1 the site will provide your schedule the remainder of the week. For those hired to support Nights, they would start the following day to allow time to sleep.

Steel Toed Boots (not reimbursable)
Business partners are expected to maintain an appearance that is appropriate, neat and clean, as determined by the requirements of the work area. Dress and appearance should not be offensive to customers or other business partners. Please adhere to the following, when in a manufacturing area:
No shorts, halter tops, or cut-off T-shirts
No open toe/heel shoes or high heels in plant
No extremely loose clothing
No dangling jewelry
